Trover Health System is committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients and conducting our business with integrity and in compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. As our partner in conducting our business, we expect that you will understand and support our policies.
As a participant in the Medicaid Program that receives the minimum amount in payments annually, we are obligated to comply with the terms and requirements of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (the "DRA"). In accordance with the DRA, we have written policies and procedures that provide detailed information about the Federal and Kentucky State False Claims Acts, relevant state laws, the whistleblower protections under such laws, and our policies for detecting and preventing waste, fraud, and abuse.
The DRA also requires that we provide this information to all contractors and agents for your review and that you will abide by the high ethical standards of Trover Health System.
If you observe or become aware of a coding or billing problem or issue with the care provided by Trover Health System, please contact our Compliance Officer at 270.825.5629 immediately. Any contractor or agent legitimately raising questions or reporting problems will not be retaliated against by any Trover Health System manager, employee or official. You also may contact other resources within Trover Health System, including Administration at 270.825.5201. In addition, you may report concerns to the Office of Inspector General Health and Human Services at 1.800.447.8477. Also, any contractor or agent who has concerns about the safety or quality of care provided may report these concerns to the Joint Commission at 1.800.944.6610. However, we ask that you first exhaust internal options such as the Compliance Officer at 270.825.5629 or the Compliance Hotline at 1.800.955.1659 before contacting these external agencies.
