Trover Health System

Stipends 2011–2012

  • First Year - $ 45,672
  • Second Year - $47,148
  • Third Year - $49,032

All residents are provided lunch at noon conferences Monday through Friday. All residents are given a meal allowance of $60 every two weeks.

Insurance

Health Insurance

Trover Health System will pay for the Resident's basic plan for single and family coverage by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Dental Insurance and Vision Insurance

Residents are offered Dental and Vision Insurance, single and family coverage at the expense of the Resident.

Professional Liability Insurance

Trover Health System pays the full premium for all residents.

Disability

Trover Health System pays for long term disability insurance for each Resident. It has a 180 day elimination period.

Life Insurance

Trover Health System pays for each Resident's Life Insurance Policy. This policy is term life which would be paid in the amount of one times the Resident's annual salary if the death is of natural causes, double if death is an accident.

Retirement

Residents can enroll in our 401K retirement plan with ING at the first of any month. After being employed for two years, Trover Health System will contribute 4.6% of Resident's annual salary to Resident's Retirement Fund.

Vacation

All residents receive 15 days of vacation each year.

Continuing Medical Education

All residents receive 7 days of Continuing Medical Education Days each year.

All residents receive $1,400 of Continuing Medical Education Allowance each year. The allowance can be used toward USMLE exams, FCVS, licensure and meetings; however, the allowance can not be used toward books.

The ATLS, PALS, ACLS, BLS courses and materials are provided to all residents at the expense of the Residency Program.

Other Benefits

All residents and their families are provided with free memberships to either the Trover Health System Fitness Program or the local YMCA.

Moonlighting (up to 60 hours per month) is allowed in the second- and third-years.

Lab coats are provided to each resident, along with free laundry service.

Free parking is provided to all residents.

DEA application and fees are provided by Trover Health System.

Licensure Coordinator processes all paperwork and provides free notary services.

Educational Resources

A Technology Stipend of $200 is offered to all residents. This stipend must be used toward an I-Phone, I-Pad or a device that is compatible with the residency's New Innovations Program.

Ability to purchase textbooks at a reduced rate is available through our hospital library.

"Up-to-Date" program is available on the network throughout the organization.

Relocation Assistance

Residents are offered a moving allowance based the distance they move.
Up to 500 miles — $500
500-1,000 miles — $1,000
Over 1,000 miles — $1,500
