Care for expectant mothers starts in the Center for Women's Health, adjacent to Regional Medical Center. We provide:

• For babies in need of special care, our Level II intensive care nursery features state-of-the-art technology and a skilled and experienced neonatal healthcare team

The Women's Center works with Nashville-based Maternal Fetal Group who specializes in high risk pregnancies. A provider from Maternal Fetal Group reviews all obstetric ultrasounds, offering the pinnacle of care to all expecting mothers. If you should require high-risk pregnancy care, a provider from Maternal Fetal Group sees patients at our Madisonville office routinely.

Educational Programs

To help you understand the many facets of motherhood, we offer a variety of education programs. In addition to prepared childbirth classes, we also provide educational sessions on breastfeeding, infant care, mommy-fitness, nutrition, infant CPR, grandparenting, how to manage siblings at birth, and vaginal birth after cesarean.

We emphasize comfort to help make the birthing experience one of the most special moments of your life. All phases of childbirth — labor, delivery and recovery — are managed in a pleasant suite designed to create a home-like feeling. Should you need a cesarean session, it can be preformed in the Labor and Delivery unit. After delivery, you and your baby are cared for by the same nurse, an expert in the needs of new babies and their mothers. The nurse can answer questions and provide educational support and encouragement if you choose to breastfeed.
