Shorter hospital stays and more positive outcomes

The newly renovated Trover Health System Emergency Department is larger, more technologically advanced and patient-friendly. This is just one of many ways that Trover Health System is growing and changing to better meet the needs of our patients.

Our specially trained nurses and physicians use state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques to help determine the extent of a patient's injuries much more quickly and often less invasively.

For example, we use an ultrasound technique to determine the extent of internal abdominal injuries. The traditional method is to surgically investigate the abdominal cavity. The ultrasound method is much faster and can often eliminate the extra diagnostic surgery.

The end result of technologies such as these is that patients can often receive diagnosis and proper treatment for injuries more quickly, helping increase the possibility of shorter hospital stays and more positive outcomes.
